We would respectfully ask that requests for attendance at an event by HM Lord Lieutenant are submitted at least 28 days in advance to facilitate Diary planning. Sadly the Lord-Lieutenant is not able to accept all invitations, because of volume and time constraints. If that is the case the Vice Lord-Lieutenant or a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) may attend on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant. The Vice Lord-Lieutenant or DL should then be accorded the precedence due to the Lord-Lieutenant. We will always make every effort to work with event organisers, but it may not be possible to facilitate visits at short notice.
